The Little Onion Club is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, run and coordinated by a dedicated group of volunteer members, to benefit children and adults of all ages.
We provide year-round inter-generational outdoor activities (or indoor when weather restricts) such as gardening, composting, recycling and crafting, with a focus on social inclusion, sustainability and environmental awareness. Our vision is to bring the community together to build connections and learn about sustainable living. |

Community Gardens run by Local Volunteers
Children's Gardening ClubWe provide weekly gardening activities for our Little Onions hosted at Usworth Park, Washington and supported by a fantastic team of dedicated local volunteers.
Activities include outdoor play for pre-school toddlers, sessions for home educated groups, and after-school clubs for children aged between 4 and 16, all along with parents and carers. We also provide gardening sessions for teens and adults, well-being activities, market stalls, gardening working bees, facilitated workshops, team building days, and family friendly events at the park and out in the community. |
